We potters tend to be a bookish bunch, writing and reading how-to books, histories, monographs, works of criticism, exhibition catalogs and biographies and memoirs of ceramic artists. Perhaps no other group of artists is quite so loquacious. I take delight in this, greedily reading new books as fast as they come out. Here, I share with you my current reads. You don’t have to be a potter to enjoy reading about ceramics but be forewarned: it’s highly addicting. Oh yes, and if you get the urge to buy a copy of a book I am reading, please do so at an independent bookstore.
P.S. And of course, you will want to read my book, Clay: The History and Evolution of Humankind’s Relationship with Earth’s Most Primal Element.
