Art and Garden Tour of Northeastern Connecticut

Connecticut Open House Day

Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, 10 am – 5 pm

Come to the pretty Quiet Corner to visit our gardens and studios. My garden, an informal cottage garden inspired by old fashioned “grandmothers’ gardens” is set in an old hay field bounded by stone walls. The studio and kiln shed will be open. Barbara Katz, Gretchen Geromin and Lauren Merlo will join me and share their art here. Barbara is a ceramic and encaustic artist. Lauren makes cheese and bread boards from wood harvested locally. Grethen enhances them with her pyryography.  More details as June approaches.

Holiday Artist Market

Knowlton Hall, Ashford, CT

Sunday, November 16, 10 am – 4 pm

A fun, local event with lots of artists. Gretchen Geromin and Lauren Merlo will also be participating this year with their wonderful cheese boards.

Artists’ Open Studios of Northeastern Connecticut

Friday, Saturday, Sunday November 29, 30, &  Dec. 1, 10 am – 5 pm

Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, 10 am – 5 pm

Baking dishes, platters, pitchers, mugs and more.

I will be joining many dozens of artists here in the Quiet Corner and opening my studio (too cold for the gardens).  You can see the kick wheel where I throw all my work, the downdraft kiln where I fire it, and shelves of new work. Stop by to say hello, catch up on the news, and see what I have been up to. Refreshments.

Jake welcomes visitors to the studio.
